From recording an orchestra to a small Jazz/pop/rock performance in a club, SevenSeas Studios are positioned to capture the music in the environment of your choice. SevenSeas Studios remote recording kit includes personnel managed by SevenSeas Media Management, from Grammy award Classical engineers to Grammy winning Pop engineers. The recording kit was originally designed by Sony Music Studios Classical division and was purchased intact by SSS.LLC. after the closing of Sony Music Studios. We can accommodate recordings from a solo artist, trio, quartet to a 100 piece orchestra. The kit is customized around a Pyramix laptop recording system at high resolution 24bit/ 88.2khz or 96khz, using Prism converters, various high-end microphone preamps such as; Milenia, Grace, Avalon, Sonosax to over a 200 microphone collection consisting of Schoeps, DPA, Nuemann, and Sennheiser. We use Studer consoles, Genelec 5.1 8050 speakers, microphone cables/snakes for up to 300 feet, spy camera, talk back system, and the Decca microphone tree for larger ensembles.
